The Best Friends

She remembers the all memories. The first moment when she met him. The first kiss and first time when she said to a man “ I love you”.   Wow, that sentence. It has been years to not say it. To whom she could say it...

No, no, no it cannot be truth she said. She was talking to herself while the man was staring at her.

She looked at him. He was changed. Looks more mature, more self-confidence.

What she will tell him now, or should she say something?

She turned away her sight and walked. She could not talk. Years took everything from her. Her childhood, teenager years.

She remembers the all memories. The first moment when she met him. The first kiss and first time when she said a man “ I love you”.

Wow, that sentence. It has been years to not say it. To whom she could say it.

Is it possible to love someone again and forget all the past.

The man called her name, Melisa!

Melisa, stopped. Her heart was beating fast and loud. She was afraid that he would hear the heartbeats. Her cheeks turned to red. She was shaking and beginning her legs to hold her tight and stable.

She turned backed and tried to formulize a sentence but the voice was stocked on her chest.

Damn it she said. She felt she so weak. She hated this feeling.

He walked towards and hugged her. He was feeling her heartbeats .

Forgive me Melisa he said. Whole these years this feeling of guilty killed me everyday. I do not if I deserve to be forgiven and I do not if people are able to change.

After all these years. The first sentences that she heard from him was forgiveness. He was still thinking of himself. He even didn’t ask how she was.

Forgiveness is powerful she said and I am afraid I do not have that power to forgive you.

She took his hand off and said:

Daniel, I wish you could feel what I was feeling and understood me just a little bit.

And I wish you could ask how I am and not thinking of yourself. I though you changed at first moment I saw you but after your sentence I believe you are not.

People are able to change but I am afraid that you are not one of them.

She turned away and started to walk. She could not stay longer as her tears was drooping to her cheeks.

The man stayed behind and stared her walking away.

He was left with his loneliness. He has to live with this guilt and he knows that this guilt will kill him one day.

Love and hate are the best friends he whispered in between his lips.
